Our Beautiful Garden

The first week of school we went out to the garden to find 3 beautiful things.  This was definately one of them.  We will be going out to the garden more throughout the year and will keep you posted.  But, this is worth seeing.

Hot vs Cold

We observed the difference between adding color drops to a beaker full of hot water and a beaker full of cold water.  We also measured in Celcius and observed the condensation on the outside of the cold water beaker.

First Week

Whew!  We had a great first week.  The students had so much to learn and they did great.  We have really raised our standards at Marshall Leadership Academy, and the students have risen to the occasion.  We did start homework this week.  Most all our students brought it back.  We also started writing in agendas and getting those signed every night.  Great job!  The most exciting thing was rewarding positive behavior and etiquite with House Tickets!  We had our first House Rally Friday afternoon and HESHIMA was the winner.  Congratualtions for earning the most house points.

First Day

What a great first day at Marshall Leadership Academy. Our class even had a special visitor today, Dr. Hull. What a surprise. We were able to tell her all about our "house" names and show her our job applications for the classroom. Please be sure to fill out all those wonderful forms (PE, Cafeteria, Info sheet - half paper, Recess Rules) and send them back to school. The students are trying to earn house points. Thanks again for helping your child to have an AWESOME first day of school. We start switching classes tomorrow.

Almost Go Time!

Hopefully by now, my soon to be students have picked out their supplies, backpacks, clothes, and shoes.  I can feel school about to start.  It is that same feeling every year.  For me it is full of mixed emotions.  I LOVE being home with my little ones, but the excitement of the new year, new students, and fresh start get my blood pumpin'.  I will be getting my room ready next week!!  I have spent WAYYY too much time on pinterest and I am full of ideas.

This is my first ever blog and I am so excited for you to take this journey with me.  My purpose is to keep parents informed of upcoming events and important dates.  But also to know that students actually do something every day in school!  Not just the typical, "What did you do today?"
